Dalton State College, also known as DSC or Dalton State, is located in Dalton, Georgia. It is one of the eight state colleges in the University System of Georgia and was established as Dalton Junior College in 1963. It opened officially in 1967 and is also one of the four University System units with a Technical Division. The main campus of DSC covers more than 145 acres.

DSC’s athletics department fields several men’s and women’s sports teams which participate in a wide variety of sports such as football, volleyball and others. The college’s sports teams are nicknamed the Roadrunners.
