DeSales University is a coeducational, private, Catholic university located in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was established in the year 1965. The university offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. US News & World Report (2009 edition) of Best Colleges ranked DeSales University as 52nd in the ‘Universities-Master's (North)’ category.
DeSales’s athletics department sponsors more than 15 athletic teams. They compete in the NCAA Division III within the Freedom Conference of the Middle Atlantic Corporation. The sports teams participate in spots such as baseball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, cross country, golf, and track. The teams are nicknamed the Bulldogs. Notable alumni of the university include Steve Burns, former host of Blue's Clues on Nickelodeon; and Alexie Gilmore, actress.
