Dixie State College of Utah is located in St. George, Utah. The institution was originally started by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on September 19, 1911, under the name "St. George Stake Academy." After various name changes, it finally became "Dixie State College of Utah" in 2000, when the Utah State Legislature granted the college baccalaureate degree status.
DSC enrolls more than 6,500 students annually. They offer a wide variety of bachelor's degrees and associate degree programs.
The College is a member of the NJCAA. DSC's sports teams are known as the Rebels.
