Established in the late 1950s, Dover Business College has a long history of providing students in Northern New Jersey with career-focused education. The school balances classroom instruction with learning-by-doing.

Dover Business College is accrediting by a national agency that is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education. Some individual programs, such as Medical Assisting, are also accredited by other appropriate accreditation boards.

Dover Business College Admissions

For all programs, students need to be high school grads or must have passed an equivalency exam (GED). An entrance exam and an interview is also necessary elements of the application process. Nursing applicants must take a nursing assessment test, among other additional steps. Other programs also have special application requirements.

The college is authorized to participate in federal financial aid programs. Qualifying students may be able to receive funds for their schooling. Students looking for tuition assistance need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid on an annual basis.

Dover Business College Faculty

Instructors at the college utilize the real-world experience they have gained over their careers along with their educational training to provide a balance between a practical and theoretical learning environment.

Student Body

Students at the school tend to be focused men and women, looking to improve their careers and lives through education. Women form a noticeable majority of the student population, although ratios can fluctuate with each program track. There is also significant Hispanic and African-American representation within the student body.
