Eastern Oregon University, also known as EOU, is a public university in La Grande, Oregon, United States. It was established in the year 1929. The institution was originally known as Eastern Oregon Normal School. EOU is part of the Oregon University System. The university offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. EOU is organized into the following academic divisions:
EOU’s official mascot is known as the Mountaineer. Students can actively participate in sports such as baseball, basketball, golf, football, and softball. The campus is home to more than 70 student clubs and organizations.
