Elgin Community College is a U.S. post-secondary educational institution which awards Associate of Arts degrees. It was founded in the year 1949. The main campus of ECC comprises more than 10 buildings and is spread over an area of 145 acres. ECC also runs the Fountain Square Campus, Streamwood Center and more than 100 off campus locations.
ECC's student athletes compete in regional and national tournaments in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and in the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference. The official mascot of ECC is the Spartans.
