Elizabethtown College, also known as Etown, was established by members of the Church of the Brethren in 1899. It is a private, four-year college and is located in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. The campus of the college is spread across an area of more than 190 acres. The college is a comprehensive college and offers over 60 minors and 40 majors. Courses are provided in the streams of humanities, professional disciplines, and arts and sciences. The student body consists of national and international students from 30 states in the United States and over 40 countries worldwide. Adult Degree Programs are also provided in the college.

Etown College’s athletics department fields more than 15 men's and women's sports teams. They compete in Commonwealth League, Middle Atlantic Corporation, and National Collegiate Athletic Association, division III. They are nicknamed as the Blue Jays. The Blue Jays participate in sports including cross country, basketball, baseball, and softball.
