Empire Beauty Schools

Overview of Empire Beauty Schools

Founded in 1929 and headquartered in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Empire Beauty Schools over the course of several years established a large nationwide network of accredited cosmetology schools. In 2007, Empire consolidated its 37 schools with 51 cosmetology schools run by Regis Corporation, to form a new super-entity known as Empire Education Group. The Empire network today comprises 88 schools across 18 states, making it one of the largest providers of beauty and cosmetology education in North America. Most of the schools now under the Empire umbrella (e.g., Natural Motion Institute, Concorde School of Hair Design, Scot Lewis Schools, etc.) have retained the names they had before the merger. This is also true of the original 37 schools that are still known as Empire Beauty Schools. These 37 schools are located in 9 different states (Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia).

Not all programs are offered at all campuses.
