Overview of Everest Institute
Everest Institute was originally known as Duff's Business Institute, and is the oldest business school in the United States (the school was founded in 1851). Now the school has more than 25 locations in 12 states across the U.S. The institute offers diplomas, and associate and bachelors degrees. Everest Institute is owned by Corinthian Colleges, Inc.
Points of Distinction
Areas of Study
Business, Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice, Healthcare Information Technology, Programming and Trade Skills, such as plumbing, HVAC, and Technician programs. Available programs vary by location.
Everest Institute Selectivity
A High School Diploma or GED is required for admission into the school. The only other significant requirement is to fill out a simple informational application.
Everest Institute Faculty Quality
The faculty at the institute is actively encouraged to work closely with each student to provide the maximum chance of success. Most of the teachers are industry professionals who can share the benefit of their practical application of the course material with their students.

Student life at Everett Institute is focused on the classrooms, and in the labs. The school does not offer students a place to live. Students drive to the classroom from their home or office.
