Fayetteville State University is a four-year public university located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. It was established in 1867 and now offers bachelors degrees in over 40 areas and masters degrees in over 20 areas. FSU is a constituent institution of the University of North Carolina System and a member school of the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund. FSU is organized into the following schools and colleges:
WFSS-FM is an NPR news and jazz radio station owned and operated by the university. FSU is a member of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association. Its athletic teams are nicknamed the Broncos.
