Friends University is a private, Christian university located in Wichita, Kansas, United States. It was established in the year 1898. However, its roots can be traced back to 1886 when the university's main building was originally built for Garfield University. This building was donated to the Religious Society of Friends in 1898.
Students of Friends University are offered a wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the fields of education, fine arts, business and information technology, social and behavioral sciences, religion and humanities, and natural science and mathematics. Friends University's athletic teams are known as the Falcons. The men’s and women’s teams participate in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, track and field, softball, and volleyball.
