Gardner-Webb University, also known as GWU, is a four-year, private university located in Boiling Springs, North Carolina, United States. It was founded as Boiling Springs High School by the Kings Mountain and Sandy Run Baptist Associations in 1905. The main campus is spread across an area of 200 acres. GWU houses more than 10 academic departments offering over 40 major fields of study.
GWU is home to numerous clubs, organizations, and honors societies. Some of the clubs are the Campus Ministries United, Alphi Chi, Deaf Club, and Black Student Union. Their official mascot is the Runnin’ Bulldogs.
