Gateway Community College was founded on July 1, 1992, ans is located in Connecticut. The college has two campuses, one in New Haven and one in North Haven. Gateway enrolls more than 11,000 full and part-time students per year. The college offers over 90 academic programs in diverse areas of study.

Gateway’s athletic department fields both men’s and women’s athletic teams. They participate in a wide variety of sports like tennis, baseball, golf, soccer and softball. They are nicknamed the Geckos. There are many clubs and organizations on campus as well, including the Associated Student Council, Phi Theta Kappa and the Hispanic Student Organization.
