GateWay Community College is an urban campus, located in Phoenix, Arizona near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. It was established in 1968. GateWay is one of ten nationally accredited colleges in the Maricopa County Community College District. The Maricopa Skill Center is a division of GateWay. The college enrolls over 16,000 students annually. GateWay offers a wide variety of programs and degrees in several areas of study.

The school mascot is the Gecko, and the school motto is, "Learn more, live better." GateWay is a member of the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference. The athletes of the college participate in various sports which include cross country, golf, soccer, softball, baseball and tennis.
