Genesee Community College, or GCC, is a public community college with its main campus in the Town of Batavia, New York, United States. The college also has branch campuses in Warsaw, Albion, Medina, Dansville, Arcade, and Lakeville, New York. It was originally established in 1966 as part of the State University of New York system (SUNY). The college offers more than 50 academic programs in diverse areas of study.
GCC fields more than eight intercollegiate men’s and women’s teams. They participate in various sports including basketball, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, and volleyball. They are nicknamed the Cougars. Their colors are blue and gold. The college also has a radio station known as The Music.
