Georgia Military College was founded in 1879, and was originally known as the Middle Georgia Military and Agricultural College. The main campus of the college is located in Milledgeville, and is referred to as the George Military College – Milledgeville, or GMC Milledgeville. The college offers associate’s degrees in a variety of disciplines such as criminal justice, history, sociology, general studies, and computer information systems.

George Military College – Milledgeville has an active student participation in athletics. The college houses the Football Booster Club which builds and promotes the football program in the college. Besides, the students also participate in a number of other sports including tennis, softball, golf, cross country, and soccer. GMC Milledgeville also supports several on-campus clubs and organizations such as the Phi Theta Kappa, Biology Club, and Drama Club.
