Germanna Community College is a two-year, public community college located in Locust Grove, Virginia. It was established in 1970. GCC is a member of the Virginia Community College System. The college is named after a settlement that was founded by Governor Alexander Spotswood for a group of German miners. The college offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. It also offers several on-line, hybrid and interactive courses.

GCC’s campus is home to several clubs and organizations, including the Beautiful Hands Sign Club, Phi Theta Kappa, History Club and Photography Club.
