Overview of Gibbs Schools
The origin of Gibbs Schools traces back to 1911, when Katharine Ryan Gibbs opened her first school in Providence, Rhode Island. The school's quality immediately earned it a reputation for producing ready-made business professionals. The schools offer career-focused programs in several different areas, with some variation in program availability and degree offerings depending on campus.

The admissions process begins with an online application, a visit to the campus, or contacting the school to start the application process. Prospective students are invited to take advantage of the assistance offered by the Gibbs School’s admissions department. After assessing the applicant's goals and interests, the admissions staff will assist in determining the Gibbs School program that provides the best fit. As part of the assessment process, a facility tour will also be arranged and answers will be provided to any questions the applicant may have concerning the school's programs or curriculum. Parents and/or significant others are welcome to attend the tour. As part of the admissions requirement, proof of high school completion (or expected completion for high school seniors) or GED should be provided.
