Globe Institute of Technology, GIT, is a private, specialized institution that offers programs at the certificate, associate and bachelor degree levels in fields like business, health care, hospitality management, IT, and computer programming. It also offers online learning facilities.

Students of Globe Institute of Technology participate in Division I of the National Junior College Athletic Association in Region XV. GIT fields teams for football, basketball, soccer, baseball, volleyball and track & field. The athletics teams go by the nickname Knights. Student organizations are varied and include the Dance/Latino Club, the Oracle Database Club and the Single Mothers Club. Financial assistance in the form of loans, work study programs, grants, and scholarships is available for eligible students.
