Golden Gate University Online Student Experience

The GGU CyberCampus offers a virtual classroom experience combining academic rigor with flexibility. Courses are entirely Web-based and asynchronous, meaning that students do not have to be logged in on any particular date and time to complete their coursework. A course syllabus is provided to give students an idea of their instructor's expectations and how often they should log into the course. Communication with the instructor and with other students is accomplished via a Web-based online learning platform which utilizes threaded discussions. Discussion is considered an essential component of every CyberCampus course, and students are expected to contribute thoughtful and meaningful dialogue in the threaded discussions at least once a week. Each CyberCampus course includes at least one supervised exam, which can be supervised at any GGU campus location or by a responsible party such as a local librarian or the student's employer.
