Gordon College is a Christian college located in the small and rural town of Barnesville, in the middle of Georgia, United States. It was established in the year 1852 as a seminary. The college is part of the University System of Georgia. The college is named after John B. Gordon, a Georgia native. The main campus spreads across an area of 120 acres. The college offers bachelor degrees, associate degrees, and transfer programs to students.
Gordon College participates in the Georgia Junior College Athletic Association and is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. Gordon College's sports teams are nicknamed the Gordon College Highlanders.
