Hampden-Sydney College, H-SC, is a private liberal arts college for men. Located in Hampden Sydney, Virginia, H-SC was founded by Samuel Stanhope Smith in 1775. It is situated on a sprawling 1340 acre campus and offers undergraduate degrees in subject including modern languages, mathematics, computer science, religion, economics, chemistry, and international studies.

H-SC is a member of the NCAA Division III. Students participate in football, lacrosse, basketball, baseball, soccer, cross country, tennis, and golf. The nickname of the athletic teams is the Tigers. The college has 15 honor fraternities, 11 social fraternities, and several student clubs and organizations such as The Madisonian Society, The Animation Society, Future Educators, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and The Outsiders Club.
