Hardin-Simmons University, also known as HSU, is a private, Baptist university located in Abilene, Texas, United States. It was established in the year 1891. HSU's campus comprises of more than 30 buildings which spread across an area of 209 acres. HSU offers a number of bachelor and master degrees in the fields of arts, science, and business. The university is organized into the following academic divisions:

HSU’s athletics department fields a number of men's and women's sports teams. They compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association, Division III and the American Southwest Conference. They are nicknamed the Cowboys and Cowgirls. They participate in sports such as basketball, baseball, golf, and softball.
