Hawkeye Community College is a community college located just outside Waterloo, Iowa. HCC also operates several satellite campuses in nearby towns. The Hawkeye Institute of Technology was formed on July 1, 1966, replacing the Waterloo Area Vocational School. The institute eventually added programs in liberal arts and sciences, and expanded as a comprehensive college. It was renamed Hawkeye Community College in July of 1993.

Student life at HCC is active. There are several clubs and organizations on campus as well. Some of these are the All Agriculture Club, the International Association of Administrative Professionals, Distributive Education Clubs of American and Global Humanitarian Relief Club.
