The Heart of Georgia Technical College was established in 1984. The main campus of this public, 2-year coeducational institute is located in Dublin, Georgia. The college also operates the Little Ocmulgee Instructional Center in Helena, Georgia.

Students at the Heart of Georgia Technical College are offered a number of degrees, diplomas and certificate programs of study. One can choose from courses in the fields of allied health, business information and technology, and public service. Special occupational programs are also available.

The Student Government Association, Skills USA, BRIDGE Club, Phi Beta Lambda, the National Technical Honor Society, Respiratory Educational Student Practitioners and the Student Practical Nurses Association are some of the clubs and organizations available to the students here.
