Overview of Herzing University

Herzing University is comprised of a collection seven campuses spread across six major U.S. metropolitan areas plus four additional campuses in Canada. The school’s purpose is to educate its students in career fields with significant job potential. Herzing University Online provides a means for students from just about anywhere to receive their education over the Internet from an accredited institution.

Areas of Study

Herzing University divides their institution into five different schools:

  • School of Business (known as the Massey School of Business in Atlanta)
  • School of Health Care
  • School of Design
  • School of Public Safety
  • School of Technology

In the United States, the Birmingham, Madison, and New Orleans locations have programs in all five schools while the other U.S. campuses offer a subset of them. Herzing University Online offers some programs in all schools.

Herzing University Admissions

The university operates on an open admissions basis. There are minimum entrance requirements, such as completion of high school or its equivalent. An interview is also required.

Many qualified students receive some sort of financial assistance through government and other programs including grants, scholarships, loans, and part-time work arrangements.

Faculty Quality

Faculty instructors are equipped with a mix of professional and academic experience, providing students with both practical and theoretical components of their training.

Herzing University Student Body

The largest campus in the Herzing University system is in Madison, the university’s main campus, where there are roughly 1000 enrollees. Other locations generally have a few hundred students or fewer. The demographic make-up of the university varies greatly from location to location.

Student life

Students are generally from the areas within driving distance of each campus. Student life primarily revolves around the particular city in which each campus resides.
