Overview
At Hesser College, our programs strive to help you acquire the knowledge and technical skills that local employers seek. We emphasize hands-on, career-focused skill building through bachelor’s, associate’s, and diploma programs in the areas of allied health, arts and sciences, business, criminal justice, design, education, and legal. Hesser College has five convenient locations across southern New Hampshire: Concord, Manchester, Nashua, Portsmouth, and Salem.

Areas of Study may vary by location. Additional academy training may be required for law enforcement positions. Certain positions may require additional training, licensing, or certification. Applicants to the Criminal Justice program in the state of Texas will require additional training approved by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) upon graduation in order to seek the following positions: police officer, peace officer, sheriff deputy, bailiff, and jailer. Paralegals are not lawyers and cannot practice law or give legal advice.
Selectivity
To attend Hesser College, an applicant has to have a high school or equivalent diploma. Applicants must also read, write, and speak English to attend the college as no translation services are available. The applicant must then have a face-to-face meeting and write an essay that will be evaluated by the college. A tour of the college is also recommended, as this will help familiarize the applicant to the campus and see some of the facilities offered if they become a student at Hesser College. When being considered for acceptance to Hesser College, and you are a transfer student, the college might award credit for previously taken classes based on an evaluation done by the admissions department.
Faculty
All professors at Hesser College are professionals, who have worked in the industry or job field they teach. They are ready to do whatever it takes to help their students succeed in the classroom, as well as the work place after graduation. The information and technical skills they teach during classes will prepare students for the always competitive nature of the job market. Faculty and staff are always on hand for extra help, and there are a host of extra tutoring services available in the event that a student needs extra help in a subject.
Student Body
The student body at Hesser College is made up primarily of New Hampshire residents, but is host to many other people from around the country and the world. With an active International Admissions program, anyone can attends Hesser College and reap the benefits of attending the classes held there. With housing on campus, its easy to relocate to the college. Commuters are also abundant, as many students commute from their homes around New Hampshire, as well as choose to move near their campus and rent out or sublet apartments in the cities.
Student Life
Campus life is fun and exciting at Hesser College. With residence halls holding many of the students that attend the college, Hesser College helps add to the whole college experience, fostering relationships that will last a lifetime. First year students are even allowed to bring their cars to campus, allowing greater freedom to the first year student. With an active campus life, students can take part in the many organizations such as the student government, the campus radio station, or the many choral groups.(Note: Not all programs are necessarily available at all locations.)
