Overview of High-Tech Institute

High-Tech Institute (HTI) was founded in 1982 in Phoenix, Arizona, at the locale of its original campus. Since that time, ten satellite schools have been established nationwide in TX, GA, WI, MN, TN, FL, MO, and NV under the High-Tech Institute name. High-Tech also owns five other branches of schools: Anthem College, Allied College, The Bryman School of Arizona, Cambridge College and The Chubb Institute. The Institute provides career focused training programs in Technology, Health Care, Criminal Justice, Visual Communication, Veterinary Technology, and Business.

Areas of Study

High-Tech Institute offers both on-campus and online associate's degree programs with the convenience of both day and evening classes. Students can also earn bachelor's degree programs offered entirely online. The Institute offers a wide selection of career focused training programs in the following disciplines:

High-Tech Institute Admissions

Requirements for admission are: (1) a high school diploma or GED equivalency, (2) an ability to speak and write English fluently, and (3) (for those who have not graduated from high school within the past year) a passing score on High Tech's Entrance Assessment Test. The two-part application process is very straightforward and consists of a meeting with an admissions representative and then submission of an application packet.

Instructors at HTI are industry-experienced and care about their students. They are well-versed in the skills needed in order to be successful because they have experience in the student's chosen field.

High-Tech Institute Student Body

HTI students are focused on career-oriented learning, meaning that all coursework contributes directly to professional preparation to meet the requirements employers look for when hiring. They are motivated to achievement of long-term careers in health care, visual arts, technology, and criminal justice. Actual student body composition varies by campus.

High-Tech Institute Student Life

The school plays an active role in assisting its students in many phases of campus life. Students who are interested in finding employment can receive assistance from the Institute in their search. HTI has a Student Services office to help in obtaining housing within commuting distance to the campus. High Tech also sponsors a number of school activities, including sports, picnics, special events and contests.
