Hocking College was founded in 1968. The main campus of the college is located in Nelsonville, Ohio. In addition, the college also offers classes at the Perry Campus in New Lexington, Ohio. More than 40 associate degree programs are offered to Hocking's students. Among the specialties are courses in health and nursing, natural resources, business, information technology, public safety services, culinary arts, archeology, hospitality, early childhood education, theatre, broadcasting, music and industrial technology.
The men’s and women’s sports teams of Hocking College are known as the Hawks. They participate in a wide variety of sports like football, tennis, basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball.
