Idaho State University, established in 1901, has its main campus located in Pocatello. ISU is a doctoral research university and has over 250 programs. The university currently enrolls more than 10,000 students and has roughly 400 faculty members. The main programs at the college include:
Idaho State University's mascot is Benny the Bengal and its official colors are orange and black. ISU has indoor track, golf, football and basketball teams.
