Illinois Central College

Illinois Central College is a large community college located in northern East Peoria. Established in 1966, ICC offers occupational certificate programs, Associate Degrees in Applied Science programs and Associate Degrees in Arts & Science programs. ICC serves more than 11,000 students at present. The university has 3 main locations:

  • Main campus in East Peoria
  • Downtown campus in Peoria
  • ICC North campus in Peoria

The university mascot is Cougar, and sports include volleyball, tennis, flag football and bowling. ICC has more than 30 official student organizations and clubs. The college teams participate in intercollegiate sports events. Major League Baseball player and future Hall of Famer Jim Thome graduated from this university.
