Illinois Eastern Community Colleges - Frontier Community College, established in the 1960s, is a community college located in Fairfield. It is also a public institution. The college offers two-year associate’s degrees offering various technical certificates. The college provides an online four year degrees. Programs are available in fields such as science, engineering technician, office and administration, and nursing and emergency medicine. The institution also offers courses for adult education. Frontier Community College is one of the four colleges of the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges organization, also known as IECC. IECC sponsors various men’s and women’s sports teams including basketball, baseball, and softball. They are nicknamed as warriors. They compete in International Students Program National junior College Association.
