Independence Community College, ICC, is a public college in Independence, Kansas. The college, which was formerly known as Independence Community Junior College, was founded in 1925. It moved to its present 68 acre campus in 1970. The college offers certificates and associate’s degrees in fields like humanities, science, fine art, business, social sciences, health services and computer programming. Distance learning facilities are also available.

Independence Community College is a member of the Kansas Jayhawk East conference and National Junior College Athletic Association. ICC has varsity teams in football, volleyball, soccer, cheer & dance, basketball, baseball, golf, softball, and tennis. The athletics teams are nicknamed the Pirates. The university also has a Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
