Indiana State University is a public university that is located in Terre Haute, Indiana. It was established in 1865. ISU’s main campus is located on the north side of Terre Haute’s downtown business district. It consists of more than 60 buildings spread across an area of over 140 acres.

ISU offers various programs and degrees in diverse fields of study through five colleges and one school:

  • College of Education
  • School of Graduate Studies
  • College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services
  • College of Technology

The sports teams of ISU are known as Sycamores and their official mascot is Sycamore Sam. Some of the notable alumni of the university are Paul Benke, President of Colt Firearms; Margaret Gisolo, Founder of Arizona Arts Alliance; and Bruce Baumgartner, Olympic Gold Medalist.
