Jarvis Christian College, which was established in 1912, is a historically black college, and is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Located in Hawkins, Texas, Jarvis Christian College grants bachelor's degrees in various fields of study. Courses are offered through the following academic divisions:

The athletics department of Jarvis Christian College is a member of the Red River Athletic Conference, and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. The men's teams are known as the Bulldogs, and the women's teams are called the Lady Bulldogs. They compete in sports like volleyball, baseball, and basketball.
