Jefferson College, also known as JeffCo, is a two-year, community college in Hillsboro, Missouri that was established in 1963. The establishment was initiated by the voting of the citizens of the Junior College District of Jefferson County. The 418 acre campus has rolling green hills with oaks and elms. Career-Technical certificates are provided to students in various fields. The college offers programs at the associate’s degree level in art, humanities, science, journalism, and teaching.

Jefferson College, which is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association, participates at the intercollegiate level and sponsors baseball, soccer, softball, volleyball, and basketball teams. Students have the option to choose from over ten academic, honor, performance, and professional clubs and organizations. Some of the student organizations are the Cultural Club, Jefferson College Young Democrats, Sierra Club Student Coalition, and the Student Senate. Students who require financial aid have a range of options to choose from. Loans, work study facilities, institutional, community, foundation, and transfer scholarships are available at JeffCo.
