Jefferson Community College is a community college offering a two-year associates degree programs for students to transfer to four-year institutions. Jefferson County Technical Institute was chartered for function on September 16, 1966 as a public two-year institute by the Ohio Board of Regents. It was renamed Jefferson Community College in the year 1995. JCC offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in several areas of study.

The alumni council of JCC conducts an annual Alumni Star Search for an outstanding alumnus. The college also conducts informal programs of athletic competition in softball, basketball, flag football, soccer, golf, and volleyball. Newsbreak is the students' weekly newsletter.
