John Brown University, also known as JBU, was founded in 1919 by John E. Brown. This private Christian liberal arts institute is located in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The sprawling main campus sits on 200 acres of land. JBU's recent enrollments have been more than 1,500 students every year. JBU also offers classes in centers in Little Rock, Rogers, and Fort Smith, Arkansas.

John Brown University offers a large number of associate’s and graduate degree programs in the fields of graphic design, business administration, digital media arts, early childhood education, broadcasting, engineering, and journalism, among others. JBU offers the following academic divisions:

The sports teams of John Brown University are known as the Golden Eagles. They participate in the NAIA Division 1 athletics, in the categories of basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, and volleyball. The men’s basketball team was the winner of the NAIA Division I National Championship in 2005.
