John C Calhoun State Community College is a public school of higher education situated in Alabama. It is a comprehensive, open-admission community college that offers certificate programs and associate degree programs to its students. The main Decatur campus is set on 110 acres and serves more than 9,000 students at present. The college has separate campuses in:

  • Redstone Arsenal
  • Huntsville/ Cummings Research Park

The sports teams of the university are known as the Warhawks, and the teams participate in softball and baseball in the Alabama Community College Conference. Bo Bice, American Idol runner-up, and Jorge Posada, catcher of the New York Yankees are a few distinguished alumni of the college.
