Overview of Kaplan College
Kaplan College is a multi-campus post-secondary institution with the goal of preparing its students for particular career specialties. There are eight campuses spread over five states. In 2007, Hagerstown Business College’s two campuses in Maryland merged into Kaplan College.
Kaplan College is part of Kaplan Higher Education, a group of post-secondary schools delivering career-style education.

Areas of Study
Business, computer/information technology, health/medical and legal are the program types that the school offers. Each location may have a different list of program options.
Kaplan College Admissions
Prospective students must deliver evidence of successful high school completion or GED certificate. The school may also accept a state-recognized home study certificate or an acceptable score on a certain independently administered competency test, if the student meets age requirements.
Qualified applicants have several possible financial assistance options that they may pursue from federal and state grants to work/study programs and loans.

The college employs instructors who can leverage their real-world experience and academic backgrounds to provide the practical brand of education that is in line with the school’s mission.
Student Body
Kaplan College students are generally drawn from the areas surrounding each campus. Some students are already in the working world but are seeking career enhancement.
