Overview of Kitchen Academy
Kitchen Academy is a professional culinary school operating two California campuses: in Hollywood and in Sacramento. The Academy prides itself on its non classroom-based format, which distinguishes it from traditional culinary arts schools. Kitchen Academy's culinary training is 100% hands-on and its full program is shorter and more affordable than those found at most traditional culinary schools. Classes start eight times each year and the daily class schedule provides three convenient options including 6 AM, noon, and evening sessions.
Points of Distinction
Areas of Study
Kitchen Academy offers two general diploma programs which can be completed in as few as 30 weeks. The Professional Culinary Arts Diploma Program, offered at both campuses, teaches a proven base of fundamentals as well as advanced culinary arts techniques. The Professional Baking and Pastry Diploma Program, offered at the Sacramento campus only, builds on the fundamentals and accelerates to topics in advanced baking and decorating methodologies. Graduates have a solid training foundation for success in a professional pastry kitchen.

Kitchen Academy Student Life
Both Kitchen Academy campuses feature custom-designed stainless steel professional dual-student workstations, which are stocked with quality equipment, supplies, and ingredients all at the student's fingertips. They also include sleek LCD screens which allow students to follow right along with their chef instructor. Campuses also include multi-purpose rooms for functions such as new student orientations, graduation events, and special classes; as well as student areas and resource centers. Kitchen Academy does not provide dormitory housing or formal housing assistance; however, the Student Services staff will address issues of housing and transportation for its students.
