Lake Land College is a public community college situated in Mattoon, Illinois. Founded in 1966, the college serves more than 7,000 students in several 2-year programs. The faculty and staff of the college have received many national and state awards for excellence in teaching.

The campus, set on nearly 308 acres of land, has 8 supportive buildings, 7 major buildings and approximately 160 acres of an agriculture land laboratory. More than 150 courses are provided online to benefit the outstation students.

Lake Land College athletics teams are known by the name of Lakers, and the college has softball, baseball, basketball and volleyball teams. There are more than 15 student organizations and clubs at Lake Land.
