Overview
Lancaster Bible College and Graduate School (LBC) is a leader in Bible education, with the mission of educating Christian men and women to live according to a biblical world view and to service through professional Christian ministries. LBC was founded by Henry J. Heydt in September 1933 and has over a 100 acre campus in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The curriculum at LBC concentrates on biblical studies, with undergraduate, graduate, and certificate degree programs offered. Students at LBC are encouraged to live spiritually, and over 550 ministries recruit Lancaster graduates for work in their communities. The school offers many extracurricular activities, and is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). Lancaster Bible College and Graduate School is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) and the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE).

Areas of Study
All programs at Lancaster Bible College concentrate on biblical studies. LBC offers an Associate and Bachelor of Science in Bible (ASB or BSB), with students tailoring their degrees to suit their specific ministry passions such as Church and Ministry Leadership, Counseling and Social Work, Health and Physical Education, Intercultural Studies, Teacher Education, Worship and Performing Arts, and Bible Ministries.
LBC also offers graduate education, with an innovative curriculum preparing students for advanced ministry opportunities. The College offers nine master's degree programs and five graduate certificate programs, such as a Master of Arts in Bible (MAB), and a Master of Arts on Ministry (MAM).
In addition, LBC offers two different, one-year long Certificate Programs to give students a valuable Bible foundation.
Lancaster Bible College and Graduate School Selectivity
Lancaster Bible College has a distinctive set of admission standards in the spiritual, personal, and academic areas. All applicants must confirm they accept Jesus Christ as a personal savior and be in agreement with the statement of faith issued by the school. Prospective students also need to provide verification of high school graduation or equivalency. In addition, SAT or ACT scores are required, with a minimum ACT score of 18 or an SAT score of 890. LBC also requires applicants to complete a 500-word autobiography, telling the school why he or she wants to attend LBC and how they came to know Christ as his or her Savior.
Faculty
LBC has a highly qualified faculty of approximately 100 full and part-time members. The College also has excellent adjunct and visiting professors from around the country. The student-to-faculty ratio for both the undergraduate and graduate programs is about 10:1, allowing for personal attention per student.
Student Body
More than 900 students attend LBC, with undergraduates being represented from 30 states and 21 foreign countries. All students must be committed to learning about the Bible and Christian education.
Student Life
Students at LBC are encouraged to live spiritually and have certain rules of conduct in order to live according to a biblical world view. The College encourages participation in a wide variety of extracurricular activities, including student government, fellowships, clubs, intramural sports, musicals and worship. In addition, Lancaster Bible College is a member of the NCAA and National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), with 12 men's and women's teams including basketball, cross country, soccer, volleyball, and tennis.
