Lane College is a private, four-year, historically black college located in Jackson, Tennessee, United States. It is basically a liberal arts institution. The college was established in 1882. Lane College offers bachelor’s degrees in diverse areas of study like business, history, and sociology. Lane College is organized into the following academic divisions:

  • Business and Social and Behavioral Science
  • Liberal Studies and Education
  • Natural and Physical Sciences

Lane College’s athletics department sponsors both men’s and women’s intercollegiate sports teams. They are nicknamed as the Dragons and Lady Dragons. The sports teams participate in sports including baseball, basketball, football, cross country, and tennis. They compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II and are also members of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
