Laney College was established in 1953, and is situated in Oakland, California. The college was originally opened as Oakland City College. The campus occupies more than 60 acres of land. The college offers over 20 certificate programs as well as Associate of Arts degrees, and more than 10 Associate of Science Degrees. Academic divisions of the college include:
