Le Cordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts Dallas, a branch campus of Texas Culinary Academy, was originally established in 1999 to bring a renowned culinary curriculum to the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. In October of 2007, the school affiliated with the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu family of culinary institutions, which has operated schools worldwide since 1895 and whose span today encompasses over a dozen campuses in the U.S. The school's affiliation with Le Cordon Bleu offers students a blend of some of the finest European and North American culinary traditions, methods, and industry-current technologies.

Areas of Study
The school offers an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts. This program is designed to help teach both the theoretical and technical skills needed to work in the food service industry in any of a multitude of positions. The program is 15 months in length, 12 of which are spent on campus followed by a 3-month externship where students can apply their newly acquired skills in the "real" world. Students learn restaurant operations from a corporate level and then break down the various components to study in detail how they are applied to food service establishments.

The campus, located at the LBJ building in Dallas, encompasses nearly 50,000 square feet and includes classrooms, kitchen laboratories, a library, computer labs, and a student-run fine dining restaurant. All kitchen labs are industry standard and equipped with the necessary equipment to learn how to work in real-world kitchens and food service establishments. Although there is no housing available on campus the school provides a housing service to assist students in finding accommodations. Parking is readily available and the facility is close to public transportation.
