LHU is one of 14 members of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Its main campus is spread across an area of 200 acres. Lock Haven University's student newspaper is known as the Eagle Eye. LHU’s athletic teams compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association and are members of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. They are known as the Bald Eagles.
