Louisiana Technical College has forty campuses and is governed by the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS). The college, which has its origins in what were known as “Trade Schools”, established its' first campus at Bogalusa in 1930. The programs commenced with training in woodworking and automobile mechanics and later expanded to include carpentry, commerce, pulp and paper technology, and computer networking.
All the campuses of the college provide technical training programs to students of different regions. The Ouachita county campus, LA, offers associate of arts degrees to students. The college is also eligible to offer federal financial aid to students.
