Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, also known as MU, is located in Mansfield, Pennsylvania, United States. It was established in the year 1857 as the Mansfield Classical Seminary. After a few name and status changes, it became Mansfield University in 1983. MU is one of the state universities of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The university campus spreads across an area of more than 170 acres. MU offers over 70 undergraduate, more than 8 graduate, more than 6 associate, over 60 minor and several baccalaureate programs in diverse areas of study.
MU is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. It supports more than 12 intercollegiate sports teams that participate in the Division II level. The athletes participate in sports such as field hockey, basketball, swimming, soccer, softball, cross-country, indoor track, and track & field.
