Areas of Study
Martin's College of Cosmetology offers a relatively wide array of program options compared to many schools of its type. Programs include cosmetology, nail technology, esthetics, educator training, and massage therapy. The cosmetology program, available at all five campus locations, is quite comprehensive. A total of 1,800 hours of cutting edge training includes lots of practical clinical experience via the school's many onsite campus salons. All students in the program are issued a cosmetology kit replete with necessary field equipment. The 300-hour nail technology program is offered at every Martin's campus with the exception of the Milwaukee site. The esthetics program, offered at the Appleton, Green Bay and Madison campuses, is a 600-hour course of study which includes training in hair removal methodologies, skin and chemical exfoliations, and relative skin care techniques. The educator training program requires only 150 hours of matriculation and is available at four of the five Martin's campuses (Milwaukee being the lone exception). The 720-hour massage therapy program, offered only at the Green Bay campus, teaches a wide assortment of massage modalities with an emphasis on holistic health.
